Welsh White-tailed Eagle Partnership |
Partneriaeth Eryr y Môr Cymru
The White-tailed Eagle Programme brings together Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT), Gwent Wildlife Trust (GWT) and Eagle Reintroduction Wales (ERW), combining specialist expertise to help restore this iconic species to Wales.
Following years of ecological research, feasibility assessment and community engagement, Southeast Wales and the Severn Estuary have been selected as the proposed location for Wales’ first White-tailed Eagle reintroduction programme. A reintroduction licence application is currently being considered by Natural Resources Wales (NRW).
Together, the partnership combines expertise in species reintroduction, eagle ecology, wetland conservation, scientific research and community engagement, united by a shared ambition — to see White-tailed Eagles once again thriving in Welsh skies.
